So well put by someone taller, for whom I have tremendous respect...I don't think you can stamp your style as easily as you could for other people. One-word definitions do not lend themselves in your case. For instance, I can't say "simple" or "understated" or "bold." Those words would not do you justice...even though, at times, you could define what you're wearing as simple or what you cooked as bold. Every single thing, from what you wear, to what you listen to, to what you eat, to how you express yourself in speech and with the written word are defined by creativity. If something is put together in a manner you haven't seen/heard/tasted before, you identify with it. I think you have an affinity for products/companies/people that take real risks creatively because that's what you're trying to do every day. I think you have a visceral distaste for "trends" because they seem to be the absence of creativity and risk. By the time they're the trend, they are, in many cases, devoid of risk. |
